I thought storybird was interesting. I did find it hard to have to adjust the story to the pictures. My brain wanted to write a story and then add pictures to go along with the story. I thought this might be a good place for students to practice keyboarding skills and computer skills. I may even use it for lesson. But, I am not sure I would use it as a place to teach how to write a story.
Cute story. I think you'd have more luck with this with your students than I might have with mine, simply because of literacy skills. Nice work.
ReplyDeleteDance on!
Roberta, I agree that this site is backward from the traditional writing process of words then illustrations. It'd be nice if the site allowed more freedom to pull different images.
ReplyDeleteI like your story, but I share your pain at working backwards in making your story fit! How did you search for your images? I had to choose an artist and use that person's work for all of my illustrations. Yours look like they came from more than one artist (or else you chose someone with a much wider range of work than I did!).
ReplyDeleteCute story Roberta! I agree, I think it would be easier to write first and add pictures later.
